LivTours Barcelona Bike Tour begins the minute you meet your guide in front of the palace-like 1920s main post office of Barcelona (arrive early and pop inside to see the magnificent stained glass ceiling!). Your friendly expert guide will lead you to a nearby neighborhood bike shop, allowing you to choose your bike.
Once you are in the saddle, your guide will lead you to the Inner Harbor before diving into the old fisherman’s neighborhood and then the beach where you will stop to enjoy a glass of ice-cold cava, Spain’s sparkling wine, before continuing on your scenic tour.
Next, you will meander up the boardwalk to the Olympic Village where you will admire the massive urban changes the city underwent before hosting the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. This is an area that was one of the city’s main industrial areas transformed into a district full of parks, modern housing, restaurants, clean beaches, and pristine waters and is a great tribute to the clever urban planners of Barcelona.
After admiring the Olympic Port and Village your guide will take you along one of the most picturesque tree-lined streets in the city to explore the Parc de la Ciutadella. Discover the past uses of this area that nowadays is a much treasured green space in the heart of the city. From there, it is just a stone’s throw to the majestic Arc de Triomf built as the main entrance-way to the 1888 Universal Exposition where you are bound to see rollerbladers on obstacle courses, street performers, and a sundry of locals enjoying the outdoors.
Next, it is off to see the elegant Mercat del Born. This market, built-in 1867, which was the city’s wholesale fruit and vegetable market until the 1970s, is one of Europe’s largest iron architecture structures. It is now home to the recently discovered ruins from the houses that were destroyed in the War of Succession in the 1700s.
During your luxury semi-private bike tour, your guide will make sure that you have plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy your ride at a comfortable pace – this is a ride, not a race!

"Things relax in Barcelona in the early evening (before the late dinner hour) so our bike tour was an easy and enjoyable way to see the highlights of the city. To watch the sunset on the beach was definitely beautiful and romantic. We'll fondly remember this experience for a long time! "

Beautiful sites and fun biking tour
"I love biking and sightseeing and my wife loves taking photos so this tour was the perfect compromise. Biking around the city isn't as exhausting as walking and we saw many locations that we might not have been able to on our own. My wife got some really great shots, especially watching the sun set on the beach. Our guide was fun and knew the city and its history extremely well. He even gave us some restaurant recommendations which turned out to be brilliant! Thanks LivSpain!! We had a great tour!"

"I chose this tour because it sounded like it would be fun and easy for our whole vamily. My kids wanted some activity and we thought this was the best. Barcelona gets slower in the late afternoon before it agitates again with parties at night, so the timing and setting is absolutely perfect. Our guide was entertaing and knowledgable and the pace was good for my kids and us adults. It was even a bit romantic when we watched the sunset on the beach."
