1. Colosseum

2. The Pantheon
The Pantheon is an ancient Roman temple and is one of the best-preserved examples of ancient Roman architecture. It was built in 27 BC and dedicated to all the gods of ancient Rome. The most striking feature of the Pantheon is its astonishing dome, which is made of concrete and has a hole at the top, called an oculus, allowing natural light to flood the interior.

The Vatican Museums are a must-see for art lovers. The fountain features a statue of Neptune and is said to be good luck to throw a coin in the fountain, which is a tradition that many travellers wouldn’t dare to miss.
5. St. Peters Basilica
The largest church in the world by interior measurement and a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. It is located in the Vatican City and is the most important church in the Catholic world. The basilica features sculptures, frescoes and mosaics by some of the most famous artists of the time. The dome of the basilica is an impressive architectural achievement of the Renaissance movement.
6. Roman Forum
The Roman Forum is a sprawling complex of ancient government buildings, temples, and markets. It was once, the center of political, social, and economic life in ancient Rome and it also contains some of the most important and well-preserved ruins in the city.

7. Piazza Navona
Piazza Navona is a beautiful square lined with charming cafes and featuring three stunning Baroque fountains. The square is home to the famous Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi or Four Rivers Fountain, which is one of the most beautiful fountains in Rome.
8. Spanish Steps
The Spanish Steps are especially famous for being a spot to relax and soak in the sights of the city. The steps lead up to the Church of Trinità dei Monti, and offers great views of Rome from its terrace. It’s a great place to take a break and people watch, and at night the steps are lit up and a great spot for a romantic stroll.
