Your private guide will lead the way on this exciting exploration of the Colosseum, following in the footsteps of past gladiators, leading you and your kids through the gladiator gates and out onto the exclusive arena floor. You will have priority entrance tickets to the colosseum and afterwards enjoy a guided visit to the ancient Roman Forum.
At the start of each tour, your child will receive a bag with an interactive booklet. In the company of your family-friendly guide, you will start your fun learning experience. This is a great opportunity to bring history to life for you and your family.

LivTours tour for kids begins at one of the most iconic landmarks of Rome, the Colosseum, the perfect backdrop for a family photo. Your guide will pass out booklets and activities for the little ones to kick start your family adventure.
As you walk through this ancient site, your guide will share with you the stories of gladiator games and wild animal hunts that used to take place here. As you walk onto the arena floor, imagine the crowds cheering you on, the deafening roar of the animals that you might be about to face and feel the spine-tingling fear, adrenaline, and excitement.
On this kid-centric tour, your guide will continue to ask questions and engaging the children. You may even find out that your kids know a bit more about history than you had given them credit for.
After the colosseum, you will find that the ancient Roman Forum is a paradise for the explorer in all of us. With an activity guide in hand, you will learn the stories of what used to be the vibrant downtown hub of Rome. You will have a chance to climb over ancient ruins and even drink from genuine Roman fountains. Make sure you leave no stone unturned as you explore the Roman Forum up, down, and around, solving the last mysteries in your activity book. Every child will get a unique enamel pin featuring Liv at the end of this tour.
The final stop leads you to the remains of the temple of Julius Gaius Caesar. This interactive tour is not just for kids and it is sure to leave the entire family with a smile on their face and new knowledge of Roman history.
By selecting the “Gladiator experience for kids” add-on in the sidebar, you will get to visit the well known Gladiator School and Museum, which is managed by the Gruppo Storico Romano and located along the Appian Way. If you choose this option, a driver will come to pick you up just after your tour finishes and take you directly to the school. Enjoy a 2-hour training session, with all the necessary Gladiator attire and weapons, where both ancient defense and attack tactics will be explored, followed by a visit to the Gladiator Museum. Once your time at the Gladiator School is finished, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Rome. Keep in mind that this will add approximately 4 hours to your entire experience.

Gladiator School Experience for Kids
Add the incredible experience offered by the Official Gladiator School on the Appian Way. The experience includes a visit to the Gladiator Museum and a hands-on training of the fighting techniques of ancient gladiators in a reconstructed ludus magni arena.
Includes roundtrip transfer.
NOTE: Add-on duration is 3-4 hours in total, 2 hour gladiator school, and 1-2 hour return transport (>30 minutes each way).
Please note: gladiator school experiences are available in the afternoon only, therefore, depending on the time of your tour, you may have a break to enjoy lunch explore the city between your tour and your Gladiator booking.
