Your LivTours golf cart tour of Rome begins at a convenient location in the heart of the city, Piazza della Repubblica. Following a brief introduction to the city with your guide, you will board your golf cart, securely fasten your seatbelt, and embark on a tour filled with remarkable landmarks. There’s no need to reference Google Maps; simply relax and enjoy the captivating stories and insights as you explore Rome’s iconic sites. Your guide will make stops at key locations, providing you with opportunities to capture photos.

During the tour, you will learn about the beautiful Piazza della Repubblica and have the chance to see a church designed by Michelangelo, located on a nearby side street—a hidden gem often overlooked by travelers. Not far from Via Cavour, you will encounter the impressive historic Imperial Forum. Listen to fascinating narratives about Palatine Hill, which was once a prominent residential area for political figures in the Roman Empire. Next, you will visit the Colosseum, the site where the notorious Emperor Nero hosted his famous chariot races.

You will then explore the historic center of Rome, strolling along cobblestone streets to visit some of the city’s most renowned areas, such as Piazza Navona. After crossing the Tiber River, you will ascend Janiculum Hill to enjoy breathtaking views of the entire city.

  • LARGER PARTIES: Please bear in mind that Golf Carts come in different sizes, but the maximum size will seat 8 people, including the guide.  This simply means that for larger parties, you may be split into two carts. It obviously means that we will hire, with no additional cost, a driver who will be responsible for the second cart (don’t worry, you don’t have to drive in Roman traffic!). The tour will still be led by the tour guide driving the first cart who will make sure that information and entertainment is delivered efficiently to both carts.

  • Fantastic Rome Golf Cart Tour with Riccardo!

    We booked the Rome Golf Cart tour through Livtours and absolutely loved every moment of it! Our guide, Riccardo, was amazing—he tailored the tour to our interests, showing us unique and fascinating sites we would have completely missed on our own. Riccardo’s knowledge and passion for Rome were evident throughout the tour. He shared so many interesting stories and historical insights, making the city come alive for us. One of the highlights was when he took us to his favorite gelato shop—what a treat! It was delicious and added a personal touch that made the experience even more special.   • Massimo is the Best!

    This was a very fun tour! Massimo took us all over Rome to share with us the items listed in the tour as well as some of his own special gems. He shared his favorite viewpoints and explained little details that you just can't get out of a guidebook or on your own. You can tell he loves the city and he loves his job. "Lasagna" might be his favorite word to describe Rome, and I think I will always remember Rome that way now too. This really was the best way to be introduced to Rome. We saved our feet, got an idea of what we'd like to see more of, and had a blast talking with Massimo. He taught us about the "nazones" and how to properly drink out of them. I was proud to show off in the following days as we continued our visit to Rome. Thank you, Massimo! You helped make Rome a memorable visit!

  • Andrew was GREAT - wish LIV had given him a standard tour golf cart

    Andrew was absolutely great - extremely knowledgeable on Roman history with lots of fun info for my family of 5. I only wish that LIV had given him the standard extended tour golf cart. Instead we had one where my 2 oldest boys were forced to sit facing BACKWARDS on the cart - this made it incredibly difficult for them to hear the guide, or see what he was describing. This is by no means his fault, as I'm assuming LIV assigns the carts - just an fyi when booking the private tour that you may end up with this.

    What an exceptional way to see the city. If you have just arrived or there is a large heat wave (as was our case), nothing better than being zipped around by Paolo. He took us to the major sites of Rome with expert commentary about not just the iconic sites, but the surrounding area and history. It is a great tour for families or individuals that may have difficulty getting around. Paolo was extremely polite, and could easily switch between English, Spanish, and/or Italian.
