Discover the ancient world of Imperial Rome on this fascinating private tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Meet your expert guide outside the iconic Colosseum, where you’ll be escorted past the long lines, through security, and straight into the most famous ancient amphitheater in the world. Pass through the Gladiator’s Gate and walk straight onto the exclusive Arena Floor.
From the Arena, you’ll have an amazing view of the stands where 80,000 spectators once sat and the eerie underground passages; dungeons where the animals and gladiators waited to be lifted onto the stage. Next, you’ll walk up to the second floor and gaze down and around the incredible interior of the Colosseum from Caesar’s balcony.
Next, you’ll head to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. On the hill you’ll wander around the truly magnificent ruins of the imperial palaces – built for the Emperors of Ancient Rome. Considered the birthplace of Rome, you’ll hear the myths and legends of Romulus and Remus, while admiring the ruins of the palaces, and see the Circus Maximus, the largest chariot race track in the world.
Lastly, walk down the hill to the Forum, the political, spiritual, and commercial heart of Ancient Rome. See the many temples to Roman gods and goddesses, pass the House of the Vestal Virgins and their Temple to Vesta; see the impressive temples to Saturn, Jupiter, Castor and Pollux, flanked by imperial Triumphal Arches and mighty basilicas.

Gladiator School Experience for Kids
Add the incredible experience offered by an official Gladiator School. The experience includes a round trip private chauffeur to the Gladiator School, where you will get a hands-on training of the fighting techniques of ancient gladiators in a reconstructed Ludus Magnus arena, as well as a Gladiator Museum visit.
Please note: The Gladiator School offers its courses at a limited number of set times throughout the day. Depending on the time of your tour, you may have a break to enjoy a snack or lunch between your tour and your Gladiator booking, or you may be required to participate in the Gladiator school before your tour. Our operations team will reach out and advise you on your options upon booking.
This add-on duration is approximately 3 hours in total: 2 hour gladiator school, and 1 hour of transport time (30 minutes each way).
In general, tours starting after 1:45pm (or 2:15pm, in the case of the Colosseum Tour for Kids) will require the Gladiator school to be before the tour.
