Wonderful Experience!

The meeting point was easy to find as there was a lot of other tours starting there. It was easy to find LivTours as there were people with shirts/hoodies with the company logo and name. Ribal was an amazing tour guide! I learned a lot and I like that he's super engaging throughout the tour! It made the experience even better with all the info, stories, and facts about the Colosseum and Rome in general!

### Worth every euro! A Colosseum experience done right. I'm not going to lie, booking LivTours was a bit of a financial gamble considering how much cheaper other tours were, but I wanted to experience the Colosseum properly, not be herded around like sheep with 30 other tourists. 😂 After going down several Reddit rabbit holes, I settled on LivTours for its small-group experience, excellent reviews and arena access, and I'm so glad I did! Our guide, Francesca, was an absolute gem: incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, patient with all our questions, and even a brilliant photographer (a blessing for a solo traveller like me!). I particularly loved that we started at Palatine Hill, continued through the Roman Forum and saved the Colosseum for the grand finale, which made the whole experience feel like watching Roman history unfold. And PLEASE, if you're considering arena access, DO IT! Standing where gladiators once entered and looking up at those enormous walls was genuinely surreal. 😭 The organisation was impeccable too, with the tour finishing at 1:34 pm, just a minute ahead of schedule! And as if the Roman gods had personally arranged our itinerary, the heavens opened and the rain came pouring down literally two minutes after we said our goodbyes. 😂 What initially felt like an expensive gamble turned out to be one of the highlights of my entire Italian adventure, and I couldn't recommend LivTours and the wonderful Francesca enough. Worth every single euro! ❤️

Our guide did an absolutely amazing job with the tour despite the rain. She was very considerate and patient and detailed in her talks. I am thankful that we had her and that we were a very small group.

Unbelievable guide for an amazing tour

We were incredibly fortunate to have Dennis as our guide on this tour. His sense of humor and his incredible knowledge about Roman history made this our standout experience that we are still talking about a year later. Dennis was able to recall specific details and years (not decades, not ranges) throughout the tour that brought the history of the Colusseum and Forum alive, and was able to point out notable landmarks that lacked any markings or signs. Without him, a tour on our own would have greatly lacked the depth and interest we experienced during our afternoon/evening. We were especially grateful that he was willing to accommodate various photo stops along the way, even pointing out a few special places for great photos.

Simply the Best

This tour is a must on your Rome holiday. Our guide Gillaume (Gill) was fabulous. So knowledgeable and ensured he spent enough time explaining and enabled us to absorb the atmosphere that surrounds this vast site. I highly recommend this tour with Liv and I am so glad that we did. Gill - simply the best.

Seeing pictures of the Colosseum does not do justice to experiencing it in person! With Patrick as our guide we learned something at every single turn about the history and significance of Ancient Rome and its peoples.

Great tour of the Colosseum!

The tour of the Colosseum and ancient Rome by LivTours was fantastic. Fabio was a great tour guide - he was interesting and knowledgeable for any questions we had. The group size was only 7 which was also perfect so that it felt more intimate than a large crowd. Thank you, Fabio!

Wonderful history

Enjoyed the tour with Fabio. He kept the group engaged and answered all of our questions. We didn’t have headsets but he made sure we could hear him. The history and the stories were fascinating. FWIW- the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill were ok, but the long wait to get in was a high price to pay.
