Prepare to mount up (prior riding experience recommended) and begin your two-hour horseback riding tour of the local countryside – across wildflower fields and through forests, with stunning views of the landscape, stretching to Siena. This is such a fun way to experience the Italian countryside, and your trusty steed can cover more ground in two hours than human legs!
After your invigorating ride, dismount and freshen up, before a quick drive with your private chauffeur to an idyllic, quintessentially Tuscan vineyard where you will enjoy a delicious three-course lunch and wine tasting. Admire stunning bucolic views from your lunch table overlooking the vineyard, and enjoy several delicious wine tastings to accompany your meal.
After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of this family-run vineyard and learn all about the process of growing, harvesting, pressing, and producing wine of the highest DOCG quality. Learn about Italy’s system for labeling a wine’s quality called the DOC denominazione di origine controllata and the differences between them, including how the soil needs to be managed. Discover the many different grape varieties, the fermentation and bottling processes, and the many challenges of grape growing and wine production.
After a final pause to admire the views, and perhaps purchase some wine, it’s time to enjoy a relaxing and scenic drive back to Florence.
