We chose an 8:15am private tour of the Colosseum and Ancient City, to mitigate the heat and crowds. Our guide, Chiara, had deep knowledge of the history and the "why" of how the Rome evolved the way it did. She was also very savvy with how to strategize how to get positions to not be caught up in the crowds. If not, we would have had to wait behind people to see things. It felt like we weren't stuck within the other legions of group tours. She has a third eye for this. It made the heat way more bearable. I felt lucky to have her as our guide. She possesses a sound general knowledge with a native's perspective. She gave us a very personalized view on Roman culture as well. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Tour with Giulia!

Our family of four including a tween and teen had a phenomenal time touring the Colisseum and Ancient City with Giulia. Her relaxed and upbeat manner were lovely and she had an incredible depth of knowledge about the relevant material. We felt the tour was worth every penny/Euro and would highly recommend it.

Brilliant Tour of Ancient Roman Sites

Our tour with Chiara was like spending several hours with an old friend who also had a deep knowledge of and appreciation for ancient Rome. From our stroll around the Colosseum and the adjacent Forum and surrounding Ancient City, we learned a lot, laughed and had one of the best experiences on a tour that we had ever had. We strongly recommend this tour and definitely request Chiara.

A Step Back in Time with LivTours

Our private tour with Giulia was nothing short of magical. She brought the ruins of the Roman Forum to life with stories about politics, trade, and daily life in ancient Rome. Walking through the Colosseum without the long lines was an absolute highlight, and standing where gladiators once fought gave me chills. Palatine Hill’s sweeping views over the city were breathtaking.

Highly Recommend! Ask for Arianna (aka Ary). 6 adults on a Saturday afternoon (3pm); Private Colosseum and Ancient City tour. Ary brought the Colosseum & Ancient City to life with her super engaging storytelling. She packed in all the stories, facts, and cool details. We were impressed that she could navigate through the Saturday afternoon crowds and find a shady spot to share her knowledge. And let’s not forget her great sense of humor, she made the whole tour fun!

Beyond Excellent

We are so thankful for our phenomenal tour with Luca! On their own, the sights of Rome are amazing, but Luca’s knowledge and stories brought them to life for our whole family! We also really enjoyed that Luca was able to share first hand experience from working as an archaeologist in the areas. Luca’s passion for the subject matter was apparent and set the tone for our entire experience. The adults and child (3 generations) all agree, our tour was beyond excellent!

Wonderful private Colosseum tour with Rita

My oldest son and I had a great time on the Private Colosseum Tour Including Ancient City, and Rita made the experience especially memorable. She was incredibly sweet and did a wonderful job bringing both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum to life in a way that really engaged my 11 year old son. Her warmth and storytelling made the history feel vivid and accessible, which made the tour enjoyable for both of us.
