Bomarzo | Park of Monsters
Your first stop is the charming town of Bomarzo in the region of Lazio. Bomarzo is a small town, but has a big reputation due to the special park commissioned by Pier Francesco Orsini and created by Pirro Ligorio. The larger-than-life statues of “monsters” give it the common name of Park of the Monsters. You will have time to stroll through the fantasy-like gardens, respected by the international art community, and have seen visitors like the surrealist, Salvador Dali.
Orvieto | From Medieval to Etruscan Treasures
Once you have finished exploring the Park of the Monsters, your driver will be waiting to take you to another charming town, this time a medieval one – Orvieto. It is a quick drive through the lush and vibrant greenery of the Italian countryside that takes you to Orvieto. Once you have arrived, it is time to stroll through the medieval streets admiring the gorgeous medieval architecture, a type of architecture missing from Rome. The town’s cathedral, known in Italian as the Duomo, carries the full title of Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta and is an absolutely gorgeous example of 13th-century architecture. This architectural wonder even inspired the great Michelangelo!
