Enjoy the fresh sea breeze and magnificent views of the islands and coastline, ancient rock formations, dramatic cliffs, and secret coves with a smile on your face, the wind whipping through your hair, and the waves splashing at your legs.
First, sail out to the pretty little island of Procida – the lesser visited and least touristy island off Naples – full of pastel colors and authentic charm! Here you’ll get a flavor of how the local islanders of Campania in southern Italy live.
You’ll sail around the island, admiring the many impressive geological features, unique rocky outcrops – millions of years old – and dramatic cliffs from the boat. You can also hop off the boat to have a little wander around the Marina di Corricella for spectacular views over the island, with the castle, church, and medieval fort, charming cottages built in terraced formation down the hillside, and colorful fishing boats bobbing up and down on the glistening waters of the harbor.
Your skipper will give you tips on where to eat, at one of the unique restaurants hidden in one of the many coves and bays, or perched atop craggy cliff edges with stunning views – or you may choose to find a restaurant on Ischia or Procida. Alternatively, you may want to spend the whole day aboard the boat out at sea enjoying the uniquely beautiful views of the islands, the coastline, and the sea, in which case you have the option to pre-book a private chef to cook up a feast on board the yacht.
Next, sail to the largest of the islands in the Bay of Naples: the legendary island of Ischia. Inhabited since the 8th century BC, it is famous for its majestic coastline with craggy cliffs and beautifully manicured gardens. Many Hollywood legends sprinkled some of their stardust on the island – it was a favorite holiday destination of Charlie Chaplin, Marlon Brando, and Brigitte Bardot. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton also filmed some major scenes of Cleopatra here.
Ischia is regularly voted one of the prettiest islands in the world. Your expert skipper will ensure you see some of the most special sights – exploring grottos, and caves and swimming and snorkeling by those dreamy hidden beaches and secret coves.
Enjoy this truly magical day out on the luxurious Tornado 38 Yacht* before returning to the Bay of Naples, where your chauffeur will meet you and take you back to the station in time for the fast train in Business Class, back to Rome, where you’ll arrive in time for dinner!
