Discover the heart of Paris on this semi-private combo tour of the city’s history, architecture, and art. Your journey begins in the Latin Quarter, once the intellectual and religious center of Paris, where your guide will introduce the city’s Roman and Celtic roots. Meeting between the hidden churches of Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre and Saint-Séverin, you will explore Gothic architecture and learn how its intricate details have inspired artists and architects for centuries.
Next, you will approach Notre-Dame Cathedral, admiring its impeccable restoration following the 2019 fire. Your guide will reveal the stories behind its construction, biblical facades, haunting gargoyles, and towers immortalized by Victor Hugo. Inside, take time to admire the rose windows, stained glass, medieval statues, and religious art, fully immersing yourself in the cathedral’s grandeur. For example, we want to ensure that traveling families and friends can tour together, so on rare occasions we may add one or two guests to avoid separating groups.
