In 1949 she purchased the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni overlooking Venice’s Grand Canal, and opened her extensive private collection to the public. The Museum offers outstanding views of Venice’s waterways and is a unique treasure trove of modern art that preserves the legacy of Peggy Guggenheim and the greatest artists of the 20th century.
