You will be greeted by a friendly LivTours member of staff at Roma Termini train station, give you the outline of the plan for the day, and ensure you find your way onto the fast train to Naples comfortably before your departure. On arrival in Naples, you will be escorted by a luxury chauffeur to the marina where you’ll meet your expert English-speaking skipper. You’ll see some of the most incredible views of the Bay of Naples, with the mighty Vesuvius visible behind the city. Admire the crystal clear turquoise-blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Pass by the super yachts of the rich and famous jet setters who’ve made glitzy Capri so famous – you might spot the likes of Mariah Carey or Leonardo Di Caprio!
As you approach Capri, admire its vibrant, pastel-colored buildings, the charming fisherman’s cottages built into the hillside, the grand villas, and the harbor filled with colorful fishing boats bobbing up and down on the glistening waters. Sailing around the island you’ll see its dramatic, rugged coastline – its awe-inspiring craggy cliffs, luscious lemon groves, secret coves and beaches, and the iconic Faraglioni: three towering rock formations which jut out from the sea just off the island’s coast. Capri has always been popular with the rich and famous, and is steeped in history: it was the favored holiday destination of the Roman Emperor Tiberius – your skipper can show you the cliff over which he infamously threw his enemies!
Discover Capri’s breathtakingly beautiful caves and grottos which can only be seen by boat. You can sail into – and sometimes swim – in these extraordinary geological features, millions of years old. Like the incredible Blue Grotto – with its ethereal, electric blue light. The green and white grottos are also stunning and usually less crowded to visit.
Sunbathe and relax on the Tornado 38’s spacious sun deck – or enjoy a complimentary drink beneath the shady awning on comfortable lux leather chairs. Below, you’ll find gorgeous sofas, a table, and a kitchen. While complimentary towels, snacks, and some drinks are provided, you have the option to book a private chef so you can stay out at sea all day long without docking for lunch in a restaurant. Alternatively, your skipper knows all the best cliff-side restaurants with astonishing views for lunch: if time, you may also want to have a little wander around the port-side shops. It is up to you!
After lunch, enjoy relaxing in the sun, speeding around the island and coves, and having a last splash in the clear blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. After docking, your chauffeur will return you to the train, where once again you will enjoy a swift relaxing business class journey back to Rome in time for dinner.
