Rome catacombs

We enjoyed our first visit to the catacombs tremendously. The experience was made even better by Marie with her friendliness and very good knowledge of the history of these sites. She is the guide to get if you do these visits.

Ask for Mike

I went alone to the Catacombs tour since my partner was sick. Our small tour guide, Mike was awesome though! He was crazy knowledgeable, kind and hilarious. Highly recommend the tour and ask for Mike :)

Excellent tour of the Catacombs

My wife and I recently used LivItaly Tours to visit the Catacombs and Underground Rome. The tour group was small - only 6 plus one guide, which made the tour experience personal. The tour allowed us to visualise what lies under this city and what it may have been like back in the day of these wonders. Our guide - Guilia - was friendly, knowledgeable but overall excellent (the best). Her knowledge and passion was clearly evident on the tour which brought a sense of life to the history that we were being shown. Highly recommend. Exploring Underground Rome

This was an absolutely fascinating tour and Melanie's knowledge and enthusiasm were great. She 'tailored' the tour to our needs and took time to understand what our knowledge base was. This is possibly a less known tour because many people don't have the time to explore the catacombs and what is underneath the city of Rome. However we certainly recommend this tour since, as with lots of other sites, the poignant aspects can't be overlooked. Many thanks to Melanie and to LivItaly for this special opportunity!

Couldn't be more satisfied

This tour was so good and Donata made it extra fun and extra special! I am a frugal person, but I don’t regret at all spending the money on this tour! We weren’t rushed and the small group size of 6 really makes a difference!! This was an important tour for me to pay for a guide because I really wanted to know what I was looking at at all of the places included in this tour. You won’t regret choosing LivItaly!!

Excellent tour!

This was one of my favorite tours while in Rome. The Basilica di San Clemente is the church that it starts at and it is really breath taking. The catacombs were awesome and the small group tour made everything personal and easy to move around. The tour was awesome but the tour guide Rachel made it amazing. She was incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable while being engaging and very funny. She gave the tour a personal feel that we didn't get on other tours. At the end of the tour she suggested places close by that we could eat at and it was difficult not to ask her to come along to hangout with us. Best tour!
