Fabulous Tivoli Tour From Rome!

We had a wonderful private tour of Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa on May 2 with Carlotta (Charlie)! Carlotta and her driver picked us up at our Rome accommodations and provided a lovely and scenic drive to Tivoli. Carlotta is an amazing tour guide, and we were so lucky to be on her tour! She is very personable, and her depth of knowledge is absolutely incredible! In addition to the tour, Carlotta introduced us to a small pizza shop for lunch (Alice), where my husband and I had the best focaccia pizza of our lives! We were sorry to see the tour end, and we will ask for Carlotta as a tour guide when we are next in Rome!

Amazing tour. We are a family of 8 ranging from 20- 75 years old and everyone enjoyed this tour. Amazing to experience unique artifacts outside of the city center. This tour is not to be missed. Stunning renaissance villa and ancient villa from 100 AD. Francesca was a fantastic tour guide, so knowledgeable and accommodating.

Walking through Hadrian’s Villa was like traveling through time, and then to step into the manicured grandeur of Villa d’Este was surreal. Our guide, Luca, clearly had a passion for history and architecture.

The Water Organ Fountain Blew Us Away

It’s hard to believe such complex fountains were built without modern tools. Our guide explained how the pressure alone powered the musical fountain. My engineering-obsessed husband was thrilled!

Tivoli is a Hidden Gem

We’d never heard of Tivoli before this tour, but wow — what a find! Lunch in the old town square was peaceful and charming, and the villas were world-class. This tour was a highlight of our Italy trip.

An Oasis Just Outside Rome

Who knew that less than an hour from Rome you could find such peace and grandeur? This tour was perfectly paced, and the air felt fresher somehow in Tivoli. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a reset.
