Is this tour a value?

This is close to my tenth tour with LivTours and apparently we saved the best for last. One might judge the price to be high and I’m here to tell you that the value of this tour is 2+2=10. Meaning Francesco not only knows how to navigate the visit systems at the Vatican, he has an extraordinary knowledge of the buildings, art, statues and people that not only steers you to the most important places and artifacts (there are too many to see in one visit) he weaves a story through time that gives you meaning that takes you on a journey with the popes and artists through the centuries as you walk amongst their creations. This is my fourth visit, with my first visit being in 1976. Francesco gave us an experience as if it were the first time. I feel like I understand the Vatican and the papal history which is quite different than just seeing beautiful art. He made the visit interesting, informative and fun. If you were thinking you might join a cheaper group tour or go it alone, I can tell you that you are missing out in a big way. Francesco delivers so much more than I could have imagined.
