Nice Bonus going on a Wednesday

Since the Basilica’s closed on Wednesdays, the Vatican was not as busy as usual, which made it the perfect time to go for us! The chapel and museum were much quieter.

Felt very personalized

There were six of us total, and it didn’t feel like a tour group, more like someone showing us around. That group setting changed how we took in the chapel and museum, we were able to ask questions and stops for photographs.

Early entry meant more art covered!

Because we had early access, we didn’t waste time standing around. We were in fast, which gave us more time inside the actual museum and covered far more art than previous visits.

Elena knew her stuff, but she didn’t make it feel like school. She balanced the historical background with letting us take in the work in silence. It was moving.
