Wonderful experience

We had a most wonderful tour of Rome, thanks to your kind driver and to Donata’s spirit, warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm! Donata was very mindful of the access/mobility issues and our limited timing that we were dealing with, Which made things much easier for us.

I booked a private tour “Rome in a day” for my family’s trip to Rome. It was our first time in the city so I wanted a first class experience and I wanted to see as many things as possible in the one day we had in Rome. Our guide was Giulia and she was absolutely brilliant! She guided us around with thoughtful explanations of all the sites and we enjoyed every minute. She even made a reservation for a delicious lunch and was able to fit in a brief stop at the Rose gardens for my wife. I highly recommend LivItaly, and make sure you ask for Giulia.

In love with Rome

For our cruise's day stop in Rome, we decided to book LivItaly's Rome In A Day tour. We were met at the port in Civitavecchia and driven to Rome in a comfortable, black Mercedes van. Our driver was very professional and expertly navigated the crazy traffic and drivers in Rome. We met our tour guide, Giulia, near the Colosseum. She was the best! She’s very professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable in archeology, architecture, history, art, culture, and all things Rome. She gave us an enormous amount of information on the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill archaeological site. We then visited the Trevi Fountain where we each made a wish and threw a coin in the fountain. Next, Guilia took us to visit the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica, and Sistine Chapel, again with no waits. Before going in, she gave us lots of detailed, interesting information about the sights and specifically discussed each section of Michelangelo’s Renaissance ceiling masterpiece. After visiting the Vatican City, our driver took us back to our ship a little before our “all-aboard” time. I highly recommend this tour! Fell in love with Rome…and with Giulia!
