Semi-Private Venice Walking Tour with St Mark's Reviews

Highly recommend

My sisters and I were in Venice last month and booked LivItaly's walking tour. It was an excellent way to better understand the lay of the city and to learn about all that makes Venice what it is today. There was another couple in our group (so, 5 of us total) and the entire atmosphere was very friendly and enjoyable. The guide was brilliant and the time just flew by. We give this tour 5 strong stars and highly recommend it.

Excellent tour

We can strongly recommend this tour to you. We had a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable but also extremely friendly. There were only 3 other people in our group so the entire experience was very low-key, relaxed and enjoyable. We loved seeing St Mark's but it it hadn't been for our guide's help, we might have felt lost and somewhat overwhelmed. We learned so much about Venice's very important place throughout history and our guide shared invaluable insight into what it is like to live in Venice today. This was an experience we will never forget.

Couldn't have asked for more!

We live in Europe (for my husband's work) and spending a weekend in Venice has been my lifetime-dream-come-true. What made it even better was the fabulous walking tour we took with LivItaly's guide, Sara. She is a native of Venice and shared her love, enthusiasm AND concerns about this unique city. We felt we were spending the morning with an old friend. Or, I should say, friends because ours was a small group tour with another lovely family of 4 and we all really hit it off, right from the start! We couldn't have asked for anything better from this tour and it truly helped make our Venetian experience extremely special.

Excellent tour

On our first trip to Venice, we are convinced that the best thing we did while there was take this walking tour. We received a thorough overview of the layout of the city, background on its vast history, a wonderful introduction to St. Mark's Cathedral and even, recommendations for restaurants and other sites from our extremely friendly and expert guide. The remaining time we spent in the city was so much more enjoyable and meaningful thanks to this tour. We highly recommend.

For our first trip to Venice, we booked this walking tour with LivItaly. We certainly could have wandered around on our own -- which we did after the tour -- but it was very helpful to first have this tour and to learn about the history and the layout of the city. The guide Francesca was just brilliant. Engaging and very knowledgeable. To have her insights and background information on the amazing art inside of St Mark's made the experience absolutely fantastic! Both tour and tour guide definitely rate the full 5 stars!

Enchanting city, fantastic tour!

Venice is an enchanting city and we were so happy to have our LivItaly guide with us, not just to point out the sites but to give us a better idea of what it's like to live in this fascinating place. We learned about how important and strategic Venice was in ancient history as well as the joy and difficulties of modern day Venice. We would never have received this insight from a tour book. If you are interested in discovering more than just what's on the surface, this is the tour to book!

Greatest walking tour in Venice

Venice is the perfect place to book a walking tour and THIS is the tour you should book! Our experience shows that the guides that work for this company are all expert and professional but also very friendly and enthusiastic. It's obvious that they really enjoy what they are doing and are anxious to communicate their passion to you. Being in a small group (which, with this company, is never more than 6) makes a huge difference in terms of the pace of the tour and the general atmosphere in which you are spending these 3+ hours. We got so much out of this walking tour in Venice and were sorry when it was over! Book it!!!

Wonderful tour in Venice

Our guide Pamela was wonderful. We had no problem meeting up with her. We were a very small tour group. Just the two of us and Pamela. We are so happy Livitaly does not cancel for undersized groups. Our tour even lasted longer than advertised, we just enjoyed each other's company. The skip-the-line is a great option because we saw the long lines. It is so nice to have someone point out each area of interest and be so knowledgeable. Our tour ended with a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Thank you Pamela!

Highly recommended

This tour was excellent. Pamela took us on a tour of various sites in Venice including St. Mark's Basilica. We walked through the markets and across the famous bridges connecting the islands. Pamela explained the history and architecture of this beautiful city. This tour is highly recommended.
