Incredible Forum + Colosseum Tour

This tour delivers what it promises: a 3 hour tour of the whole Roman Forum and Colosseum. We had Stefania as our guide and she was superb. We were lucky enough to have this early morning slot all to ourselves (2 people), effectively a private tour. We began outside the Colosseum but walked towards the Forum, climbing up the hill for some amazing views (and photo opportunities), then winding down through the midst of the Forum and back towards the interior of the Colosseum. Stefania was such a kind and knowledgeable guide; she is a native Roman and told us stories about her childhood playing in the Colosseum. I expected the Colosseum to be the mainstay of the tour, but we found the Forum was even more interesting. Stefania explained the history of the particular buildings, all the periods involved - early Roman, medieval, baroque, modern, etc. - and was great at answering questions. She also came prepared with binders of maps, photos and illustrations, which were super helpful in visualizing what these buildings looked like in their heyday, as well as the combats you would have seen in the Colosseum. We ended the tour feeling suffused with knowledge about the history of Rome. If you're looking for a Colosseum/Forum tour, I highly recommend this one.

The Most Engaging Tour of the “ Amphitheatrum Flavium“ and Ancient Rome

My husband and I had a truly wonderful experience touring the Colosseum and ancient Rome with Stefano! His genuine passion for history and the thoughtful, engaging way he explained each site made everything feel alive in a way we didn’t expect. This tour was amazing! My favorite in all of Italy. Dennis was professional, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing Roman history with us.
