A Tour That Stays With You

The story of Saint Eulalia, told right before seeing the 13 white geese in the cloister, was surprisingly emotional. The Gothic Quarter has so many layers, and LivTours helped us appreciate all of them. Highly recommended.

A Lovely Way to Start the Day

We had perfect weather and an even better guide. Elena navigated the maze-like streets effortlessly and always found the most scenic corners for photos. I especially liked the peacefulness of Plaza Sant Felip Neri.

Great Tour for Architecture Lovers

The Cathedral’s interior was breathtaking, and I appreciated having someone explain the symbolism behind its chapels. The streets around the Jewish Quarter were atmospheric and surprisingly peaceful early in the day.

A Thoughtful and Well-Curated Walk

The transition from Picasso’s art to Roman ruins to medieval plazas felt seamless. I particularly appreciated the quiet moment at Plaza del Rei while the guide recounted the meeting with Columbus. A polished and memorable tour.

Beautiful Architecture Everywhere

This tour gave me a new appreciation for Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s stained glass was dazzling in the morning light. I also liked how the guide connected Roman-era stories to modern Catalan culture.

An Intimate Look at Barcelona’s Past

LivTours manages to strike the perfect balance between education and fun. Learning how the Cathedral’s geese commemorate Saint Eulalia was surprisingly touching. Even my husband, not usually a “tour person,” enjoyed every minute.

A Lovely Blend of Art and History

Seeing Picasso’s massive murals at the start set the tone for an artistic stroll. The guide encouraged us to notice little details like worn stone steps dating back centuries. It felt intimate and thoughtfully curated.

Barcelona’s Soul Revealed

This tour dives deeper than typical sightseeing. The story behind the bomb damage in Plaza Sant Felip Neri stuck with me long after. I left feeling I understood the city on a cultural and emotional level.

History Comes Alive in the Gothic Quarter

I’ve been to Barcelona before but learning about the Jewish Quarter’s 700-year history gave me a whole new appreciation for the city. The small group size made it intimate and easy to navigate the narrow lanes. The visit to the cloister with the 13 geese was a sweet and unexpected highlight.

Exceeded Our Expectations

We’ve taken many walking tours, but this one stands out for the guide’s depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. I was fascinated by the explanation of how Barcino grew into Barcelona today. The Temple of Augustus was awe-inspiring.
