Interesting and delicious!
Our tour guide Daria was excellent at making sure we tasted a variety of food as well as explaining about traditional foods of Venice. Walking thru the produce and fish market was very educational and was a good representation of life in Venice. This was a fun way to see a less touristy side of Venice.
- Michael RuggieroA Foodie’s Dream in Venice
From start to finish, everything ran smoothly. LivTours’ private setup made it feel exclusive, and the food was incredible — especially the squid ink crostini. We ended the day watching gondolas pass by as we enjoyed gelato. Simply magical.
- Anna MüllerImmersive, Educational, and Delicious
The best part was learning how Venetians eat cicchetti as part of their day. Our guide even taught us how to say “Un’ombra di vino, per favore!” properly. I left full, happy, and feeling like I’d seen the real Venice.
- Thomas NguyenMore Than Just a Food Tour
This was a cultural journey. Our guide, Giulia, explained how Venice’s trading past influenced its cuisine, and suddenly every bite had meaning. The gondolino ride to dessert was so peaceful — a perfect finale.
- Megan CarterA Local Experience Done Right
LivTours has perfected the balance between fun and authenticity. I especially liked that we visited family-run bacari rather than touristy spots. The homemade crostini with anchovy and onion was divine!
- Clara De SouzaDelicious and Personal Tour
As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how relaxed and friendly this was. My guide was easy to talk to and full of insights about Venetian culture. The food was amazing, but the real treat was the conversation and stories behind it all.
- Brian O’NeillSo Much Fun for Food Lovers
The liveliness of the fish market in the morning was something I’ll never forget. Then came the cicchetti — small bites bursting with flavor! My favorite was the creamy polenta topped with shrimp. The gondolino ride was the cherry on top.
- Jessica KimHidden Culinary Gems of Venice
We learned so much more than expected — not just about food but also local customs. Our guide, Paolo, had a great sense of humor and introduced us to the concept of ombra (a small glass of wine). We now use that term at home!
- Richard EvansFamily-Friendly and Fantastic
Traveling with grandparents and two young kids, we weren’t sure if a food tour would work — but it was perfect. The guide adjusted everything to our pace. My dad still talks about the fried meatballs, and the kids adored their gelato reward at the end.
- Jennifer LawsonGreat Way to Start a Venice Trip
We did this tour on our first day and it gave us confidence to order cicchetti on our own later. The guide shared local phrases and etiquette, which we loved. The market part was vibrant and full of character.
