Our tour with Luca at the Vatican was great! Luca’s knowledgeable navigation skills were invaluable within the vatican halls. The museum is a labyrinth and we have wandered aimlessly on our many prior visits to the Vatican museums. With this being the first and only time that my mother-in-law would be able to see the Vatican I wanted a knowledgable and experienced guide. Luca delivered perfectly! He took some great pictures of us that we'll treasure forever. Our grateful thanks to LivTours and Luca!

Highly recommend this tour

Our tour of the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel was very well organized and very satisfying. My wife and I felt that we learned many new and interesting facts about the Vatican complex and we saw wonderful masterpieces which we will remember the rest of our lives. Our guide was named Raffaela and she was a font of information and insight as well as being a lovely and charming person. We never felt bored or tired and that is saying alot since the tour takes more than 3 hours with alot of walking. We were definitely pleased with this tour and will recommend it to all.

Not disappointed!

Our lovely guide was extremely well-prepared and an excellent comunicator. Together with this, she was very attentive to our particular needs, to our walking speed (or lack of) and to shaping the tour around our personal interests and curiosity. She not only shared her vast knowledge about the Vatican museum but also tidbits about her life and what living in Rome is like. It helped our understanding and appreciation for this city much more than if we had spent the morning with any other person. Will definitely recommend

My husband and I were SO glad that we took this tour and didn't try to visit the Vatican museum without a guide. There is just so much to see and so many rooms and galleries to have to navigate, we would have left so totally exhausted that it would have completely ruined the experience. Instead we met our charming guide, Davide, and entered directly into the museum -- no crowds, no lines, no fuss -- and from there on, had a really lovely time. Davide's informational lead-up to seeing the Sistine Chapel made such a difference to our appreciation and understanding of this phenomenal place and we felt very exclusive, being able to go into locked rooms to see things that most people don't get to see. We will recommend this tour to everyone we know coming to Rome.

Private Vatican tour

My wife and I have both been to the Vatican museum before, many years ago, so we knew how overwhelming it can be if you don't have help navigating the many rooms and galleries. Since we were interested in seeing the Sistine Chapel since it had been repainted, we booked LivTour's morning tour to do so with the added opportunity to access rooms not normally open to the general public. We were extremely pleased with this tour and felt that the experience we had was even better than we could have imagined! We will certainly book other tours with this company, both in Italy as well as in the other European cities where they operate.

Wonderful tour of the Vatican

We thoroughly enjoyed this morning tour of the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters Basilica. Our guide was a joy to be with and very intelligent and expert. She shared entertaining background facts and insights that made her presentation so much more enjoyable than what you normally get from a guide. She was also very attentive to our needs and our interests and shaped the tour and set a pace that worked perfectly for us. We would definitely recommend that you visit the Vatican complex with a guide and we can heartily recommend this company and their expert guides to you.

Extremely happy with this tour

I don't usually write reviews but we enjoyed this tour so much that I felt it necessary to share our positive impressions. The tour company is well run and easy to deal with and there is no doubt that their primary interest is in making sure their clients have a special experience. The guide, Elena, was just charming and very well prepared. It was obvious that she really enjoys what she is doing. The tour itself is well organized, the pace is just right so that you don't miss out on anything important but you don't feel overwhelmed either. We were extremely pleased with this tour and we will recommend it and this tour company to everyone we know..

We loved this tour

The morning tour is well worth getting up for. Our guide met us at the appointed place right on time and from then on, it was magical being with her, listening to her very interesting presentations and all the insight and background that she had to share with us. She made plenty of time for personal interaction, questions and "down" time so that we were never stressed or exhausted or feeling pushed. The secret rooms contain art and artifacts that are very delicate and can't be left out for the general public. Having the opportunity to see these was indeed very special. Deserves the highest rating and definitely recommended.

Excellent in every way

Our family of 4 (ages 20-60) chose this private tour of the Vatican and we all thought it was an excellent tour. We loved having exclusive access to rooms that are closed to the general public and we felt like we got very special treatment throughout the tour. There's alot to see and take in but our guide, Rafaella was excellent and knew just how to dose the facts and figures with very interesting insights and funny stories. The tour just flew by and we were sorry when it was over. Now THAT's one of the highest compliments one can give!!
