A charming, informative, rewarding morning - thank you Vera

I have to start out by saying that LIV tours was 100% great for us, from pre-booking to the meeting point, touring with Vera, and enjoying our day. We (2 of our 4 people) had a similar tour years ago, with another agency, but the Vatican access to a pre-breakfast and the tour setups have changed (also they book way in advance). So after a search, I put in a request for a pre-booking conversation and got a call back to the US from a well-informed LIV agent who explained how things had changed. I booked for the four of us online. The online bookings and confirmations of the reservation, instructions for arrival all went smoothly and at the museum entrance, we were introduced to Vera as our guide for the day. We took Vera as the guide LIV assigned, but if you can request Vera, do so. As most guides would be, Vera was informed, pleasant, engaging, and a talented guide. But she also is really excellent and nearly a mind-reader in her ability to do a private tour. Vera matched up our interests, speeding up through areas we were a little less interested in, stopping for ideal photo locations, inserting stories around the key museum locations, and keeping our day light (as we wished), while being informative. Continuing through the St. Peter's Basilica, she helped us find many of the treasures within (for us, much more interesting than last time) and through the crypt below. She helped avoid crowds and other tours, never seemed to be in a rush or pushing us along, so the timing was impressively smooth. Every question was well-answered with deep knowledge -- could tell she does this every day. Vera gets our highest recommendation and we wish we could clone her for any and every tour. LIV provided everything they promised, and over-delivered with Vera. Thanks Vera!

Excellent Vatican tour

We truly enjoyed our tour at the Vatican with Nadia! Her emmense knowledge was shared so well, and we were so appreciated of her help to truly take in what we were seeing. Her pace was perfect, not rushed, as there is so much to absorb! Wonderful experience! We will absolutely recommend LivTours for others we know looking for good tours to take when in Rome.

We took four wonderful tours from your company during our visit to Rome in September. We started with a great tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum that would have been hard to beat, it was so much fun. After that, we took a tour of Ostia Antica, the Borghese Gallery, and our favorite tour of all, a private tour of the Vatican with breakfast. I very much wanted to leave an exceptional review for our Vatican tour guide, Luca, who is an absolutely fabulous tour guide. We travel quite regularly, and all four of us felt he was one of the best guides we've ever had. A great (and delicious) alternative to the normal early morning Vatican tour

Everyone had told us that it's best to take a morning tour of the Vatican to try to avoid the masses. So when we saw this tour offering by LivItaly, we couldn't resist! You have to eat breakfast, right? Why not get into the Vatican early, have a VIP buffet in the museum's courtyard and then proceed through the museum. It was everything we hoped for and more!! Our guide Davide was absolutely fabulous: warm, friendly, very well-versed on everything Vatican and funny as well. The breakfast was delicious and the chance to see the Sistine Chapel before everyone else was there was definitely worth the early rise in the morning. We will certainly recommend this tour to all our friends and family!
