Fantastic Tour for Couples
My husband and I booked this during our anniversary trip, and it was a wonderful way to spend a morning. The mix of churches, scenic corners, and lively local spots felt well-balanced. The Greek Theater, with Etna rising in the distance, was unforgettable.
- RachelRich Storytelling and Stunning Scenery
Chiara struck the perfect balance between history and personal anecdotes. I especially liked learning how Corso Umberto I connected ancient travel routes across the island. Ending at the theater gave us some of the best photos of our whole vacation.
- David K.Exceptional Tour with Stunning Highlights
From the moment we stepped through Porta Messina, it felt like entering another world. Elena shared engaging stories about the Arab period and the Norman influence that shaped the town’s architecture. The ancient theater was the perfect conclusion.
- Renato SilvaA fascinating tour
Taormina is probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. With its breathtaking views of the sea, fascinating history and lovely little streets. I was so happy to have Simone, LivItaly's guide, with me to make sure I saw everything and to hear all of his fun stories about the famous people who have walked these same streets. He was just brilliant! Highly recommend!!
- Gideon BrooksLOVED this tour and this town!
We absolutely LOVED our walking tour of Taormina. Walking around the little hilltop town is enchanting on its own but we felt we were getting so much more out of it, having a guide to tell us about the history, show us the most important sites and help give us a "feeling" for all that this beautiful place represents. Visit Taormina and do it with a LivItaly guide! You won't be disappointed!!
- LindaGreat Intro to Taormina for First-Time Visitors
LivTours created a seamless experience from start to finish. Our guide led us through Porta Messina and immediately helped us understand how the city was protected in ancient times. The stories about the Bourbon period were especially fascinating.
- Michael E.A Deep Dive into Taormina’s Architecture
I appreciated how our guide, Davide, explained the contrast between the Baroque façade of San Giuseppe and the more austere lines of the medieval Duomo. His passion was infectious. The tour moved at a comfortable pace and was the perfect introduction to the city.
- Alec ThompsonA Lovely Cultural Experience
I took this tour as a solo traveler, and it felt like walking the town with a knowledgeable friend. The details about Palazzo Corvaja’s Moorish origins were new to me and incredibly interesting. The pace was relaxed and allowed plenty of time for photos.
- Claudia RichterAn Insightful Walk Through Time
The narration about the Roman Odeon behind Santa Caterina was fascinating—I had walked by it years ago without realizing what it was. This tour helped me understand how the city evolved over centuries. Truly enriching.
- Oliver C.Great Way to Start a Taormina Trip
We did this tour on our first morning, which helped us get oriented and choose what to revisit later. The viewpoint over the Bay of Naxos was spectacular; we lingered there longer than expected. The guide was gracious and very knowledgeable.
