As someone who loves classical history, seeing the Greek and Roman theaters in one morning was extraordinary. Our guide shared insight into how performances were staged in different eras, which added so much depth. The tour flowed beautifully from one site to the next.

A Gorgeous Introduction to Syracuse

This was our first full day in Sicily, and LivTours set the bar high. The Temple of Apollo was striking, but it was the layered architecture of the Cathedral that really impressed us. The Ear of Dionysius was a fun and unexpected sensory experience.

Seeing Caravaggio’s Burial of Santa Lucia in the basilica was deeply moving. Our guide also pointed out small courtyards in the Jewish Quarter that we would’ve missed on our own. A rich and rewarding half-day experience.

Our Kids Loved the Archeological Park

We weren’t sure our younger kids would stay interested, but the huge Greek Theater captured their imaginations immediately. Luca even showed them where actors used to stand for the best acoustics. The private car transfer between Ortygia and the park was a lifesaver.

Walking through Ortygia with Chiara felt like discovering a secret treasure. She pointed out small architectural details I would’ve missed on my own, especially around Palazzo Beneventano del Bosco. I loved the balance of storytelling and quiet moments to appreciate the scenery.
