A Delight From Start to Finish

The pacing of this full-day tour was perfect. We were particularly impressed by the Jewish Quarter and its quiet courtyards. Noto was equally enchanting, with the Church of Montevergine standing out as one of the most beautiful interiors we saw in Sicily.

Syracuse’s History Comes Alive

This tour was exactly what we hoped for—immersive and authentic. Chiara was engaging and knowledgeable, especially when explaining how styles changed across centuries in the Syracuse Cathedral. The transition to Noto gave the day an elegant, almost cinematic finish.

Exactly the Way to See Syracuse and Noto

Having a private guide made the day feel effortless. We could ask as many questions as we liked, and the explanations were always clear and engaging. The Jewish Quarter walk was unexpectedly atmospheric, and the baroque streets of Noto were simply stunning in the afternoon light.

Top-Tier Guiding and Beautiful Locations

Our guide, Marco, was exceptional—warm, articulate, and deeply knowledgeable. The Neapolis Archaeological Park visit was the highlight for me, especially the Greek Theatre. Noto was equally charming, and the Palazzo Nicolaci balconies were unlike anything I’ve seen.

Great Mix of Culture, Nature, and Food

We appreciated how balanced this tour was—ancient sites in the morning, a delicious lunch break, and then the warm, elegant streets of Noto in the afternoon. The Fountain of Arethusa was far more beautiful in person than photos suggest. Caffe Sicilia lived up to its reputation!

Fascinating tour!

We only had time to visit the east coast of Sicily so decided to take LivTours full day tour of two very representative Sicilian cities. Syracuse has so many layers of history, dating back as far as the 6th century BC, that it is fascinating and incredible all in one! We especially liked the Ortygia area. We enjoyed a lovely lunch of local fare and then a nice drive to Noto where we strolled through this beautiful city with its very baroque architecture. The tour was a perfect introduction to Sicily and all of the treasures it has to offer. We will definitely be back!

A Comprehensive Tour of Two Stunning Cities

I appreciated the balance between guided exploration and free time. The Basilica of Santa Lucia was a powerful stop, and hearing the backstory of Caravaggio’s painting added depth. Noto felt like stepping into an architectural showcase, with the Fountain of Hercules being an unexpected favorite.

Impressive, Informative, and Very Comfortable

The chauffeured transport made the day extremely comfortable for my partner and me. We learned so much about Caravaggio’s connection to Syracuse and enjoyed seeing the artwork in situ. Noto’s architecture was genuinely breathtaking, far more ornate than we expected.

A Day Rich With Storytelling

Elena painted such vivid pictures of Syracuse’s past that we felt transported. The Temple of Apollo and Piazza Duomo were especially striking, and she showed us details we never would’ve noticed alone. The finale at Caffe Sicilia was the perfect sweet reward.

A Deep Dive Into Sicilian Heritage

What I loved most was how much context we were given—not just facts, but stories about migration, religion, and everyday life in ancient Syracuse. The Basilica of Santa Lucia, with Caravaggio’s painting, was especially meaningful. Noto’s sweeping cathedral steps made for beautiful photos.
