The Best Tour of Our Trip
We did several tours in Italy, but this was my favorite. The palace was overwhelming in its size and decoration, and our guide kept us focused on the highlights. The Boboli Gardens gave us time to relax and reflect after taking in so much history.
- Amanda WilsonArt and Gardens Combined Beautifully
Seeing Raphael’s paintings in the setting they were meant to be enjoyed was unforgettable. The guide connected the art to the larger story of Florence’s rise during the Renaissance. After so much grandeur, the gardens gave us a peaceful place to simply enjoy the beauty of nature.
- Richard ColemanFamily-Friendly and Fascinating
We traveled with our 12-year-old, and our guide kept her entertained by pointing out quirky details in the paintings. The palace itself is a work of art, but it was the gardens that she loved best—plenty of space to wander without crowds. I’m glad we chose this private option.
- Emily CarterInspiring and Beautiful
As an artist, I was overwhelmed by the colors, textures, and craftsmanship inside the palace. Our guide pointed out details I never would have noticed. Sitting on a bench in the gardens afterward, sketching the statues, was a personal highlight of my trip.
- Olivia GrantA Private Window into the Past
The Palazzo Pitti is massive, and I can’t imagine exploring it without a guide. The stories of Medici rivalries gave the palace a human side. Having time afterward in the Boboli Gardens, with fountains and grottos all to ourselves, felt truly luxurious.
- Jessica MoralesGreat for First-Time Visitors to Florence
I had never been to Florence before, and this tour gave me a perfect introduction to both the city’s art and history. The guide managed to explain the dynasties without overwhelming us with dates. The gardens gave me my favorite photos of the entire trip.
- David WilliamsOur Children Loved It Too
I was worried my younger kids might get restless, but the guide’s storytelling kept them fascinated. They loved the idea of kings and queens living in such a palace. The open spaces of Boboli Gardens gave them room to run while I enjoyed the sculptures.
- Rachel MartinPerfect for Art Lovers
I studied art history, so seeing Raphael and Titian in such an ornate setting was a dream come true. The guide was very knowledgeable and open to deeper discussions about the pieces. Boboli Gardens felt like an extension of the palace’s grandeur.
- Leonard FischerThe Best Way to See Palazzo Pitti
Having a private guide from LivTours made such a difference. We bypassed the lines and had personalized explanations in every gallery. The Boboli Gardens were a highlight for me—quiet, majestic, and filled with history of their own.
- Karen DouglasA Peaceful Afternoon in Florence
This tour offered just the right mix of learning and relaxation. The palace was awe-inspiring, but the gardens afterward were my favorite—shady, full of character, and a place to unwind after a busy day in the city.
