A Rich, Layered Look at Andalusia’s Past

What impressed me most was how the tour connected Roman, Moorish, and Renaissance influences in one narrative. The guide explained how Italica faded while Seville rose, which made our later stop at the palace even more meaningful. I especially enjoyed wandering the upstairs rooms where the family once lived—so many personal touches. Worth every minute.

An Elegant Blend of Archaeology and Art

This tour managed to be both relaxed and intellectually rich. Italica’s villas, especially the House of the Birds, were dazzling in the morning sun. Later, inside the Lebrija Palace, our guide pointed out how the Countess had reassembled entire mosaics from the site—mind-blowing craftsmanship. Highly recommended for travelers who enjoy quieter historic sites.

Exceeded Expectations—Even for the Teenagers!

Traveling with two teenagers is always a gamble, but they were all in when they heard about the Game of Thrones filming location. Davide kept them entertained with stories about gladiators and daily Roman life. The palace afterward surprised us with its mixture of Moorish décor and Roman artifacts. A very polished, family-friendly tour.

A Cultural Feast from Start to Finish

The moment we entered the Lebrija Palace, I was struck by how impeccably restored it is. Our guide walked us across mosaics that had once decorated the floors of Italica’s villas—it felt like stitching two worlds together. The earlier portion in Italica was calm and full of surprises, including the vast thermal bath complex. A truly well-designed private tour.

This is a must do experience whilst visiting Seville. My family of five spent a wonderful few hours exploring Italica and the Lebrija Palace with our guide Pamen. We never would have been able to cover so much territory without Pamen's expert guidance. Pamen was knowledgeable and easily kept my 3 children engaged for the entire tour. I can't recommend this tour highly enough it really helps put the history of Seville into perspective.
