Golf Tour turned Grief to Joy

When we approached our Tour Guide, Riccardo, I was literally watching my brother in law's funeral service. I had just watched my nephew give a speech about his beloved father. To say the least, I was distraught. Riccardo, hugged us, took a moment to let us breathe, and shared our thoughts about our brother in law's wishes to fulfill this trip of a lifetime. His warm energy and even fun demeanor helped us have our first moments of happiness. He had a vast knowledge of Rome, wonderful anticdotes, and a warm spirit. He had us feeling joy, laughing, and starting our trip with a few recommendations for the days ahead. We cannot thank him enough for his thoughtfulness, and we were amazed at how he took our sadness in stride as he warmly welcomed us to his beloved city.

A Magical First Night in Rome with Emmanuel

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, our guide Emmanuel arrived promptly at our hotel — Cosmopolita Hotel Rome, Tapestry Collection by Hilton — right on time. From the very moment we met him, we knew we were in for something special. Emmanuel’s warm welcome, genuine smile, and thoughtful champagne toast set the perfect tone for what became an unforgettable evening. Emmanuel was not only an exceptional guide, but also a gracious host to the beautiful country of Italy and the enchanting city of Rome. Throughout the evening, he shared an abundance of fascinating information, and his passion, enthusiasm, and love for Rome were truly inspiring. His friendly tone and engaging personality kept us smiling, learning, and asking more questions — each of which he answered with care and insight. We visited many captivating locations, each one brought to life through Emmanuel’s wonderful storytelling and deep knowledge of the city’s history and culture. Even after the tour ended, he went above and beyond by helping us secure dinner reservations at a fantastic restaurant just a short walk from our hotel. We are so grateful to have had Emmanuel as our guide. He made our first night in Rome absolutely magical and memorable, and his warmth and professionalism far exceeded our expectations.
