A Beautiful Blend of History and Scenery
This day trip with LivTours was the perfect escape from Barcelona’s bustle. The high-speed train made the journey effortless, and our guide, Elena, met us with a smile right at the station. Walking up to the Girona Cathedral and seeing the Tapestry of Creation was unforgettable. We stayed after the tour for lunch along the river and loved every minute.
- Sarah WhitmanGame of Thrones Spots Were a Hit!
As huge Game of Thrones fans, my partner and I were thrilled to see filming locations up close. Our guide Marco added fun behind-the-scenes details we’d never heard before. The Arab Baths were a surprising highlight—such a serene and atmospheric space. The whole tour felt smooth and thoughtfully organized.
- Daniel HughesFantastic Day Trip for Families
We traveled with our two teens, and this tour kept everyone engaged the entire time. They especially loved climbing the steps leading to the Cathedral and imagining scenes from GoT. Giulia adjusted the pace for us and explained Girona’s Jewish Quarter in a way the kids could understand. It was educational without feeling like a lecture.
- Michelle ReynoldsAn Easy and Enriching Escape from Barcelona
I booked this while traveling solo, and it ended up being one of the best decisions of my trip. The train ride was comfortable, and Girona felt like stepping into a perfect mix of medieval and modern worlds. The Arab Baths were fascinating, especially hearing how different cultures blended throughout Girona’s past. Highly recommended for solo travelers.
- Kevin DouglasSo Much History in One Place
LivTours has crafted such a smooth itinerary. The Cathedral stunned us with its size, and seeing the cloister in the quiet morning light was magical. Our guide Davide shared thoughtful stories about the Jewish community that once thrived here. We left with a deeper appreciation for the city’s layered history.
- Margaret O’NeillExceeded Our Expectations
We booked the Private Girona Day Trip as a break from sightseeing in Barcelona, but it turned out to be a highlight. I especially enjoyed the Arab Baths, which were far more elaborate than I had imagined from photos. Davide’s knowledge made the experience richer at every turn.
- Robert McLeanWonderful Experience for First-Time Visitors
This was our first time in Catalonia, and Girona quickly became one of our favorite stops. The cultural layers—Roman, Moorish, Jewish—all came alive thanks to our guide Marco. He even pointed out a small bakery where we grabbed the best local pastry. The high-speed train made the logistics totally effortless.
- Olivia CarterGreat Insights and an Easy Pace
We loved how the tour struck a balance between information and leisure. The Tapestry of Creation was far more impressive than I expected, and our guide took time to explain its symbolism. Girona is compact but full of charm, and LivTours made it simple to experience the best of it.
- Christopher AllenA Photographer’s Dream
Girona is unbelievably picturesque. Every corner—from the narrow alleys of the Jewish Quarter to the Saracen-style columns of the Arab Baths—felt like a photo waiting to happen. Even better, my guide Elena knew the best vantage points and timed things perfectly to avoid big crowds. A flawless experience.
- Maya SinghPerfect for a Multi-Generational Trip
We were three generations traveling together, and this tour worked beautifully. My parents enjoyed the train ride, my kids loved the castle-like feel of the old city, and I appreciated how organized everything was. Our guide Chiara even helped us choose a great lunch spot afterward.
