A Truly Original Florence Experience
Florence has many tours, but this one felt special. Hearing about Dante while standing near the Ponte Vecchio, and then sketching among Renaissance statues—it was unforgettable. LivTours managed to make us feel like artists for a day.
- Rebecca ScottLearning by Doing
I loved how the tour was structured—first seeing the main sights, then creating something inspired by them. It’s a much better way to absorb the history than just listening. Marco was encouraging, and the time we spent sketching in the square will stay with me forever.
- Jonathan WrightThe Most Memorable Souvenir
Out of all our experiences in Italy, this one gave us the most unique keepsake. Our guide provided all the materials and taught us simple techniques, so even as beginners we could create something meaningful. My sketch of Piazza della Signoria is now framed in my office.
- Michelle CarterEducational and Fun
My teenage son actually enjoyed this tour, which says a lot! He was intrigued by the history of Brunelleschi’s dome and then got very into sketching the Baptistery doors. Davide, our guide, knew how to engage him and keep it interesting. Definitely recommend for families with older kids.
- Robert LaneFor All Ages and Skill Levels
I was traveling with my elderly mother, and she loved this tour as much as I did. The walk was paced well, and the drawing class was adaptable to her needs. We both left with sketches and special memories. Thank you, LivTours, for such thoughtful planning.
- Karen MitchellA Hands-On Way to Appreciate Florence
Instead of just taking photos, I got to draw the very scenes I was admiring. Our guide Chiara was both an art historian and an artist, which made the experience feel authentic. Even though my drawing wasn’t perfect, I now feel a personal connection to Florence.
- Allison BrooksGreat for Slowing Down
Florence can feel overwhelming with so many must-see sights. This tour gave us time to breathe. After visiting the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, sitting down to sketch was the perfect pause. It gave us space to reflect while also learning. LivTours thought of everything with this one.
- Patrick StevensFlorence for the Creative Soul
As someone who loves drawing, this tour was a dream. Seeing the Uffizi from the outside, hearing about Raphael, and then sitting down to sketch in the piazza—it all tied together. I left with a sketch I’m proud of and a deeper understanding of Florence’s role in art history.
- Hannah MüllerUnexpectedly Fun
I booked this tour mainly for my wife, who loves art. I didn’t expect to enjoy sketching, but it was surprisingly relaxing. Our guide, Luca, explained Florence’s history in a way that connected to what we would later draw, which made the experience richer. I’d recommend it even if you’re not an artist.
- Mark WilliamsA Tour that Engages All the Senses
From the sound of church bells near the Duomo to the feel of pencil on paper in the sketching session, this tour was a complete sensory experience. Our guide Giulia kept history light and engaging, and the drawing class was tailored to our beginner level. A lovely memory of Florence.
