Lovely Guide + Tour, Deceptive Description
First, the deceptive part. The tour begins in Girona. You take a train from barcelona to Girona and the Guide begins the tour there. There was a transportation offer from your hotel for 110 Euros. Descibed specifically: "... brought directly to the starting point of the tour." Instead, I paid 110 Euros for a 10 minute, 12 Euro taxi ride to barcelona train station - NOT the start of the tour> The tour itself was quite nice. We enjoyed our guide Sacha, she was a history major and Girona resident. It happened to be the flower festival - so very crowded - but even more beautiful with the flowers everywhere. Figueres was all about the Dali museum and it was incredible. Highly suffest you do this tour.
- Bob FarnsworthA Perfect Blend of History and Art
The day trip was seamless from start to finish, and our guide Elena made Girona’s layered history feel incredibly alive. Walking along the medieval walls and looking out over the terracotta rooftops was unforgettable. The Dali Museum in Figueres was wonderfully eccentric, especially the optical illusion rooms. LivTours handled all logistics so we could simply enjoy every moment.
- Michael TurnerGirona’s Charm & Dali’s Genius in One Day
I booked this tour for my husband and me, and it exceeded our expectations. Girona felt like stepping into a time capsule, and the cathedral’s mix of Romanesque and Gothic elements fascinated us. Our guide Davide offered thoughtful commentary that added depth. Figueres and the Dali Theater-Museum were pure magic.
- Sarah WhitfieldFamily-Friendly and Wonderfully Organized
We traveled with our two teens, and this tour managed to engage all of us. They loved seeing the Game of Thrones staircase scene location, while I appreciated learning about Girona’s Jewish Quarter. The fast trains made the day easy and relaxing. Dali’s wild imagination was the perfect final highlight.
- Amanda BrownFantastic Day Trip from Barcelona
Girona was breathtaking, especially walking atop the city walls with Marco, our guide, who explained how the town evolved through the centuries. Lunch recommendations were spot on—we tried the botifarra and loved it. The Dali Museum felt like stepping into someone’s dream. Highly recommend LivTours for smooth planning.
- Ethan RodriguezA Seamless and Fascinating Private Tour
LivTours sent clear instructions about the trains, which I appreciated as a solo traveler. Girona’s cathedral was a masterpiece—its baroque staircase was an unexpected favorite. Figueres was a delight, with our guide highlighting details I would’ve missed on my own.
- Natalie O’BrienExceeded Expectations in Every Way
As grandparents traveling with our college-aged grandson, we weren’t sure how balanced the day would be. But our guide managed to captivate all three of us. The Jewish Quarter was especially meaningful, and the Dali Museum’s interactive elements entertained our grandson for hours. Truly a memorable outing.
- Judith PhelpsLoved the Mix of Architecture and Art
Walking through Girona felt almost like strolling through a movie set. Our guide Chiara made history engaging without overwhelming us with information. Dali’s creations in Figueres were mesmerizing and so varied. The day felt full but never rushed thanks to LivTours’ planning.
- Kevin MorrisA Highlight of Our Spain Trip
My husband and I wanted something outside Barcelona’s main attractions, and this was the perfect choice. Girona’s quiet medieval charm won us over instantly, and we enjoyed the stories behind its filming for Game of Thrones. Figueres offered a totally different vibe—energetic, surreal, and fascinating.
- Emma ClarkeIncredible Cultural Experience
What stood out to me most was how personalized this private tour felt. The Arab Baths were fascinating and not at all what I expected—our guide explained why they were “Arab” in style but never actually used by Arabs. The Dali Museum was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. An enriching day all around.
