The Ideal Way to Experience Florence in a Day
We spent an entire day exploring Florence with our guide, Sara, and it ended up being one of our favorite days of the whole trip. She was warm, funny, and an absolute fountain of knowledge about the city, its art, and the Medici family. It truly felt like wandering through Florence with a local historian who also happened to be great company. We started at the Uffizi, and seeing the Renaissance masterpieces - especially the Botticellis - with someone who could explain the stories, symbolism, and little details we never would’ve noticed on our own made the experience unforgettable. From there, Sara led us through Florence’s winding streets, pointing out things we would have completely missed and sharing anecdotes that helped us picture what the city was like centuries ago. We saw all the major highlights, including the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo, and learned so much along the way. The moment that surprised us the most was seeing Michelangelo’s David in person. We knew it would be impressive, but standing in front of it was honestly overwhelming in the best possible way. We ended up sitting there for a long time just taking it in, a perfect ending to a fantastic day. If you want to really understand Florence and make the most of your time, a private tour with Sara is absolutely worth it. We’d recommend her, and LivTours, without hesitation.
- M & MFlorence Brought to Life
I’d been to Florence once before without a guide, but this experience was night and day. Marco connected everything — art, politics, architecture — into a story that made sense. Florence truly came alive.
- Ethan HallThe Best Way to See Florence
This private tour format was ideal. We could linger when we wanted and move along when ready. Seeing David without waiting in long lines was a huge plus. I would recommend this to anyone.
- Lisa MartinezA Once-in-a-Lifetime Day
Our kids are grown now, so it was just the two of us. We relished having a guide focus only on our interests. The Uffizi highlights were curated perfectly for us. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime gift.
- Charles EdwardsFlorence Captured My Heart
I didn’t expect to fall in love with Florence as much as I did. Chiara’s passion for her city was contagious. The Duomo at dusk was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.

Our teenage daughters were skeptical about a full-day art tour, but Luca won them over with his humor and energy. They loved hearing about the Medici family drama. It turned out to be their favorite day of the trip.
