Unforgettable Adventure

Cycling the Appian Way with our guide Marco was the highlight of our Italian trip. It felt like a real adventure, yet was easy thanks to the e-bikes. Seeing the ancient arena and hearing about Spartacus while standing on the very road where it happened gave me goosebumps.

One of the Best Days in Rome

This tour offered a perfect blend of relaxation, activity, and history. From the Catacombs to the Villa of Maxentius, every stop was fascinating. I particularly loved how private and personal it felt compared to other tours we’ve done.

Smooth Ride, Great Memories

The e-bike worked like a dream, and I felt confident riding even though I’m not used to cycling. Our guide Elena stopped to let us enjoy the scenery and even took photos for us. The combination of nature and history was unbeatable.

A True Hidden Gem

I had no idea the Appian Way would be this beautiful. Cypress-lined roads, ancient stones, and hardly any crowds—so different from central Rome. Giulia was a gem of a guide, and her storytelling brought the ruins to life.

An Active History Lesson

As a history buff, I couldn’t have asked for more. From the Baths of Caracalla to the Villa dei Quintilii, every stop was packed with fascinating stories. Riding the e-bike made it fun and approachable rather than exhausting. LivTours really knows how to blend activity with learning.

Excellent Guide, Fascinating Sites

Our guide Davide was not only passionate but also patient with my mom, who hadn’t been on a bike in years. He adjusted the pace to keep us all comfortable. Seeing the Caecilia Metella mausoleum up close was a highlight—such a striking monument.

Best Way to Cover Ground

We debated between walking the Appian Way and doing the e-bike tour, and I’m so glad we chose the bikes. We covered so much more in a few hours without feeling tired. The Circus of Maxentius was awe-inspiring—hard to believe it’s not more famous.

Highly Recommended for Couples

My partner and I did this as a private tour and it felt so special. Biking side by side on the Appian Way surrounded by history and countryside was incredibly romantic. Stopping at the little church of Domine Quo Vadis was a quiet and memorable moment.

Teen-Approved Adventure

Traveling with teenagers can be tricky, but they genuinely loved this tour. The e-bikes kept them engaged, and our guide Luca told stories in a way that caught their attention. The combination of fresh air, light exercise, and ancient history made for a perfect day.

Worth the Splurge

This private tour was a little pricier than a group option, but the personal attention was well worth it. We were able to stop whenever we wanted for photos, and our guide Elena tailored her explanations to our interests. The Villa of Maxentius was my personal favorite stop.
