Incredible Underground World
Walking through the catacombs is surreal. The semi-private group made it comfortable, and our guide answered every question. I left with a mix of awe, respect, and curiosity to learn more about Paris’ hidden history.
- Andrew DavisDefinitely Not Your Usual Paris Tour
While everyone else was queuing for museums, we were deep underground exploring history most people skip. The WWII and French Revolution stories gave it so much more weight than I expected. It was unforgettable.
- Louise ClarkeAn Unusual but Essential Tour
This was unlike anything else we did in Paris. Seeing how Parisians transformed a problem of overcrowded cemeteries into a solemn underground world was eye-opening. Our guide brought empathy to every story.
- Richard LeeDeep Dive Into Paris’ Darker History
Learning about overcrowded cemeteries and why bones were moved here gave me a whole new perspective on Paris. It’s not just creepy—it’s practical history. The restricted rooms were fascinating.
- Megan FosterEerie Beauty Underground
The tunnels are haunting but also strangely peaceful. Gözde explained how workers created bone mosaics to bring dignity to the space. That human touch made it less frightening and more moving.
- Martin SchmidtIncredible and Moving Experience
Seeing six million people represented in one place is overwhelming. I appreciated how respectful the guide was in explaining why the catacombs exist. It was haunting but also deeply human.
- Emily CarterPerfect Semi-Private Setting
I saw larger tour groups rushing past us, but we had time to pause, ask questions, and reflect. The semi-private setup made the whole experience more meaningful and less overwhelming.
- Joshua BennettA Highlight of Our Paris Visit
We did several tours during our trip, but the catacombs stand out the most. Santiago gave such rich historical context that I felt I was seeing more than just bones—I was walking through history.
- Claire HughesSomething You’ll Never Forget
The Crypt of the Passion gave me chills, especially “The Barrel.” Our guide suggested we stand quietly for a moment, and the silence in that chamber was unforgettable. I’ll be telling friends about this for years.
- Brian SullivanUnique Family Adventure
We weren’t sure if this would be too intense for our kids, but they absolutely loved it. They were fascinated by the carvings and the tales of WWII bunkers. It was both educational and thrilling.
