History, Humor, and Hidden Gems with Andy
Our Private Jubilee Tour with Andy was fantastic. We loved learning more about the major Basilicas and the deep history of the Catholic Church in Rome. Andy was funny, engaging, and full of great insights that made the tour both informative and enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor and kept the pace just right, making every stop feel meaningful. We were especially delighted when he recognized us the next day while we were on another tour. We truly enjoyed our time with Andy and would gladly explore more of Rome with him again.
- KatieKids Loved It Too
I was hesitant to bring our 10- and 13-year-olds on such a tour, but they were fascinated by the whispering arches at St. John Lateran and the massive golden mosaic of Christ at St. Paul’s. Having a private car kept the day easy and enjoyable for everyone.
- Stephanie HarrisAn Emotional Journey Through Rome’s Basilicas
Passing through the Holy Door at St. Paul’s was the highlight of my pilgrimage to Rome. Elena, our guide, spoke with such warmth and conviction that the whole group felt connected. This was the Jubilee experience I had hoped for.
- Maria GonzalesFrom History Buff to Believer
I joined this tour more for the history than the religious aspect, but I left with a newfound appreciation for both. Learning about the Great Schism while standing in St. John Lateran was unforgettable. LivTours really knows how to balance scholarship with atmosphere.
- Daniel WalkerPeaceful and Profound
I especially appreciated the quiet moments in the cloister at St. Paul’s. Our guide gave us time to pause and reflect, which made the tour feel very personal. I left feeling renewed.
- Robert DanielsRome Comes Alive
Our guide Marco had such energy and enthusiasm, especially when describing the gladiators of the Colosseum and the intrigues of the Popes. It made the history feel alive and relevant. We learned so much and had fun doing it.
- Brian ThompsonA Day of Wonder and Reverence
The tour exceeded my expectations. Standing before the Holy Doors with our guide Elena explaining their meaning during the Jubilee year was an emotional experience. The chauffeur service made the day seamless, and Santa Maria Maggiore’s gold ceiling glittered in the afternoon sun—an image I’ll never forget.
- Sarah MitchellIncredible History for the Whole Family
We brought our teenage son, who usually gets bored with history, but he was captivated by the portraits of every pope at St. Paul’s. Our guide Giulia made the stories accessible for all of us. The private driver made the logistics so easy—especially with kids in tow.
- Amanda ReynoldsSacred Art and Architecture in One Day
The baroque design of St. John Lateran and the ancient bronze senate doors were fascinating. I loved how our guide Davide explained both the religious and artistic importance of each basilica. Ending at the Loggia in Santa Maria Maggiore, with its mosaics of the miracle of the snow, was a perfect finale.
- Peter LawrenceLuxury Meets Spiritual Depth
This was not just another tour—it felt like a curated pilgrimage. The chauffeur was professional, the car comfortable, and our guide Chiara’s storytelling was moving. The relic of the Manger at Santa Maria Maggiore touched my heart most of all.
