What a wonderful experience to visit the Vatican and Sistine Chapel on one tour. Our Guide, Claudia, was exceptional, and I would recommend the same Tour with Claudia as the guide to everyone.

Our Favorite Tour

We loved our tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Your tour and tour guide fulfilled a life long dream of mine. Francesca was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. I’m glad we opted for a small group tour. We received more individual attention than we would have other wise.

Tour guide was amazing, Vatican was poorly organized

I was lukewarm about seeing the Vatican - it seemed like it would be overwhelming and it was (and not in a good way). That said, if you really want to do a Vatican tour, I wouldn't hesitate to book with Liv Tours. They company is so organized and sends great communications, and our tour guide Claudia was fantastic. She was able to move us through a very crowded place very efficiently. Her tour was very informative and she did a great job answering questions. The six person small group was a great size too and she did a great job interacting with everyone. Thanks Claudia!

Excellent tour with Massimo

I booked a semi-private tour, Highlights of the Vatican & Sistine Chapel with LivTours. The tour was excellent. Massimo, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the objects in the Vatican museum, as well as the history and architecture of St. Peter’s basilica. It was apparent that he has a great deal of experience both with the subject matter, but also with how to guide a group effectively. He highlighted key artifacts in the museum, things that we may have not noticed and his explanations certainly enriched our understanding of the history and culture. He invited questions from the group and generously shared his wealth of knowledge. It was apparent that Massimo has cultivated strong relationships with other guides and Vatican staff, as he was so collegial and was recognized, respectfully, by others as we proceeded with the tour. This made the experience all that more personal. Massimo was generous and engaging and, by the end of the tour, I felt like the small group of six had connected with each other and Massimo. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend LivTours (& Massimo) to friends and family, as it is evident that LivTours hire skilled, experienced guides to lead the tours, thereby ensuring an enriching experience for visitors.

Excellent Tour!

I recently had the pleasure of taking a tour through the Vatican, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, bringing every corner of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica to life with fascinating insights and stories. Their passion for the history, art, and architecture was contagious, and they had a wonderful way of explaining complex details in a way that everyone could appreciate. Thanks to their guidance, I felt I could fully grasp the significance of each masterpiece, from Michelangelo’s ceiling in the Sistine Chapel to the rich history behind the Basilica. The tour was well-organized and allowed us to make the most of our time, even managing to avoid some of the larger crowds. I left with a deeper appreciation for the Vatican’s treasures and can’t recommend this tour enough for anyone visiting Rome—it's truly a must-do!

Rossava was an amazing guide!

We can't say enough about how wonderful our tour guide, Rossava, was. There is obviously so much to see and learn here, it can be overwhelming. But she got us through the very busy crowds and showed us much about this incredible place. You must see it up close and personal and Rossava was the best person to guide us through.

Masterpieces & Majesty

After reading about Michaelangelo and watching movies as a teen seeing some of his great work in person was a dream come true. Francesco was a wonderful guide who gave us important insights and was able to maneuver through the people to keep us up front and allow for time to take it all in!

Great tour with Rosalba

We had a 3hr tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica with Rosalba on August 6, 2024. We have just arrived home from Europe this week and we wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our tour with Rosalba. She was very friendly, kind and Knowledgeable and knew so many interesting facts. Rosalba also kept a good pace and we managed to see everything that we wanted. It was so nice to have our own personal guide to show us around. Working our way through the Vatican museums on our own would have been impossible. Exceptional Vatican Tour with Ilaria

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our early morning tour of the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's with LivTours. Our wonderful guide, Ilaria, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. She expertly guided us through the crowds and ensured that we had excellent views of the artworks. It was a 5 star experience and we recommend it highly!

Semi-private tour of the Vatican

My family and I recently took a semi-private tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and our guide was Massimo. We were able to skip lines and get great access during the tour. The tour included all of the sights we were interested in and Massimo explained everything in the right amount of detail. There are a number of Easter egg type works, which we would never have known about, in the Vatican and Massimo pointed all of those out. The works by Raffaello and the Sistine Chapel were the highlights and we had the right amount of time to experience both. We had toured these sights on our own 20 years before but we got a lot more out of it this time, due to the great work of our guide.
