Best tour we did in Rome

This tour was recommended to us by a friend who had done it, and we are so glad we booked it. Our guide, Francesco, brought a booklet of visual aids to explain the history of the Vatican to us while we were in line. He was incredibly knowledgeable and is a teacher in Rome, so it was super cool to be guided by someone who has lived here all his life and had the credentials to know his history. We went on other non-private tours that day to other sites in Rome, and they were crowded, had those terrible earpiece radios where we couldn't hear our guide, and didn't have much opportunity for questions and exploration. Having only a small group of six and going early in the morning was the perfect experience.

Great tour with a wonderful guide!

Roxy was an awesome tour guide. She had so much information about the museum and was happy to answer any follow up questions that we had. We learned so much and would definitely recommend her.

AMAZING Tour!

Linda was SUCH an amazing tour guide! She has been a tour guide at the Vatican since she was 19 (I think she said it's been 23 years!?) and her expertise and knowledge were absolutely impressive! We opted for the "Express" tour and she made every moment count, taking us to all of the major highlights. My friend and I both agreed we didn't think our experience would have been the same with another guide, as Linda was so enthusiastic, informative, and fun! The meeting point was easy to find and also, booking the early morning time slot made a HUGE difference. When we came out, the lines were insane!

Very knowledgeable!

We had a very nice tour on a very busy day at the museum and Sistine Chapel. We were happy to have all the information on the paintings before we entered the chapel so that we knew what to look for!

Never disappointed with LivTours

Thank you for providing such great small group tours; I have booked 3 tours this time and have also booked with you on 2 other holidays to Italy over the last 7-8 years and have recommended your company to friends and family . As a solo traveller it has been more difficult to book tours with you on this occasion but I’m sure that is related to recovery from the covid pandemic and hope it will improve in the future

Fantastic experience

Fantastic early morning visit with Laura S, highly recommend. Not our first visit of the Vatican museum, but this tour was made special by the early morning access and professionalism of our guide and Livtours.

This tour was perfect for us

We didn't have much time at our disposal but we just couldn't miss the Sistine Chapel while in Rome. This tour was perfect for us and answered all our needs (timewise) and desires. Our guide was very expert with perfect English. We were in a group of only 4 people and the morning access gave us an incredible opportunity to see the Chapel without the crowds and to be able to stay and admire as long as our hearts desired! If you can't do the whole 3+ hour Vatican tour, you won't go wrong with this one!

Sistine Chapel

We didn't have enough time for a long visit to the Vatican museum but didn't want to miss the opportunity to see the Sistine Chapel so chose this tour. We had a wonderful tour guide who delivered an informative and interesting experience. It was precisely what we were looking for. Would definitely refer people to use this company and Davide specifically.

Small group's the best

Great tour especially since we had only limited time in Rome. Alessandro was very knowledgable and lots of fun. Loved the small group. Would definitely recommended to anyone.
