Immersive and Relaxing

The Appian Way has such a different atmosphere compared to central Rome—quiet, historic, and peaceful. Chiara told us stories about the emperors who traveled it, which made me imagine the road bustling with life centuries ago. Riding an e-bike through this landscape was pure joy.

Absolutely Worth It

I wasn’t sure about the price, but this tour delivered. Small group, knowledgeable guide, and fascinating sites at every turn. Riding the Appian Way felt like stepping back thousands of years. It’s one of those experiences I’ll always remember.

Great Alternative to Walking Tours

I’ve done countless walking tours in Rome, but this was far more enjoyable. The e-bikes let us see more in less time while still being up close to the ruins. Seeing the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and learning about its history was a highlight.

Memorable Family Activity

Our kids (ages 12 and 14) loved this, which is rare for a history tour. Elena wove in stories that kept them entertained, and the e-bikes made them feel independent. We all agreed it was one of the best activities of our trip.

Excellent Morning Ride

We started early, which meant the road was quiet and the light was beautiful for photos. The San Callisto Private Park area was so peaceful. Having water provided and e-bikes that worked perfectly made everything smooth. Highly recommended.

The Best Way to See the Appian Way

Walking it would have taken all day, but with e-bikes, we covered miles without breaking a sweat. The scenery was incredible—ancient walls, mausoleums, and open fields. The guide told us how the road once connected Rome to southern Italy, which put it all into perspective.

Highlight of Our Rome Visit

We loved every minute of this. Giulia was patient, kind, and so knowledgeable. She even took photos for us at Porta San Sebastiano. The combination of Roman history and countryside air made this our favorite tour in Rome.

Perfect for All Fitness Levels

I haven’t been on a bike in years, but the e-bike made it effortless. The cobblestones gave it an authentic feel, but never too difficult. Seeing the Villa of Maxentius ruins up close was stunning, especially without big tourist crowds.

A Different Side of Rome

Everyone goes to the Colosseum and Vatican, but this showed us Rome’s countryside charm. It felt like we stepped into a quieter, ancient world. The story of the Church of Quo Vadis was fascinating—I’d never heard it before. This tour gave us a deeper connection to the city.

A Tour for History Lovers

Our guide Davide really dug into the military and economic importance of the Appian Way. It made me appreciate just how vital this road was to the Roman Empire. The tombs and mausoleums lining the way added so much character to the ride.
