Caterina was fantastic!

We were so happy with our experience touring the Villa Borghese masterpieces with Caterina, who was an exception guide! First, all the logistical info with LIv Tours was clear and well communicated. Second, the tour was right on time and our semi-private tour was just that--there were three participants (apparently a couple of other participants were booked but unable to make it, for one reason or another.) Third, and most importantly, Caterina was an exceptional guide. I have a background in art history and had toured Borghese Gallery a few years ago with another tour company, but this was much more detailed and informative. Caterina was engaging and personable and made the artwork, and the stories and history behind their creation and the artists, reallly come alive. She did a fantasic job establishing the overall historical context of how the Gallery came to be. I can't recommend Liv tours and Caterina highly enough.

Borghese Gallery Tour of a Lifetime with Marco!

This ended up being one of the most gratifying educational art tours I have ever experienced. Marco was charming and extremely well-informed. The two hour tour ended up being just myself and Marco. He knew the ins and outs of the Galleria Borghese intimately. This allowed him to curate the tour in a way that avoided most tourist crowds and enhanced our discussion. And what a discussion it was! Marco challenged my knowledge of history and tickled my love of art. The focus was Caravaggio paintings and Bernini sculptures - history, behaviors, influence of patrons, and influence of their artistic style on future artists. Connections were made with Rennaissance art in a time change, Mannerism, Baroque, Realism, Impressionism, religious iconography within Catholic artwork, history, influence and intrigues of ultra rich art collectors (nephew of Cardinal Borghese). It was an enthralling, exhilarating tour with a master of history - Marco!

Wonderful and Informative Tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Borghese Gallery with Laura. She was knowledgeable and helped guide us through the gallery making sure to answer all of our questions and assuring that we would see all the great masterpieces. I couldn't be happier with our experience and thank Laura for a great job.

Capitoline Dream!

My husband and I spent a memorable morning with Raffi at the Capitoline Museum. It was a pleasure to have her guide us through the Capitoline. Her knowledge and appreciation of this museum is extensive! She shared her knowledge of ancient history and civilization, sculptures, and the mosaics. She shared the most beautiful story of Eros and his true love and it brought tears of joy to my eyes! We recommend a touring with Raffi!

Great Small Group Tour

Our guide, Barbara C. from LivTours, was exceptional. All five of us agreed that she made our visit to the Borghese Gallery far more interesting and enjoyable than if we had gone alone. Barbara is incredibly personable and knowledgeable, and we highly recommend her. Grazie, Barbara!

Jaw Dropping

Sara was fantastic, giving life to every piece. If we wouldn't have had this tour, seeing the artwork still would have been mesmerizing, but the stories, background, and history made the afternoon jaw dropping. The small group is worth the price, there were other groups with 30 people from other companies. 10/10 would book again.

LivItaly tours. The best!

We were so pleased with all of the small tours that we did with LivItaly. We didn't have to wait to gain entry anywhere, and all of our guides, with their art history and/or archeological backgrounds, were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Rome and their subject areas. On the Borghese Gallery tour, our guide Gio brought the art and scuptors alive and made our visit particularly memorable. Borghese Gallery tour

We decided to see the Borghese Gallery with a guide in order to get the most out of our visit. Dario was just a fantastic tour guide and we felt very lucky to have spent the morning with him. Great personality and very knowledgable and we felt we were really able to appreciate the wonderful art and sculptures in this fabulous gallery ! We had taken several small group tours during the week and all were good but Dario made this tour the very best. Thanks Dario

Borghese Gallery tour
