Senior Product Manager

Role Location: Rome, Italy

Role Type: Full Time

Role Overview:

This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of establishing a dedicated product management department within LivTours, providing a unique opportunity to shape the future of our product offerings. You will be responsible for both strategic planning and oversight, and tactical implementation of product development, optimisation and launch. You will receive robust support from the executive team, who are currently overseeing product functions, along with the assistance of a highly experienced part time product manager.

Senior Product Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Leadership: Assume full responsibility for our portfolio of nearly 300 products. You will oversee the enhancement of existing products and the development of new ones, optimising logistics and maximising market potential. You will also provide secondary support to the executive team in new region and product development. 
  • Strategic Analysis, Development, Pricing & Positioning: Perform competition analysis, and use tools like Zoho Analytics to track product performance, identify market opportunities and lead strategic improvements. You will also coordinate with the executive team in setting new product pricing and in the implementation of bi-annual pricing review. 
  • Cross-functional Team Coordination: You will be the primary force behind product creation and maintenance and project managing all product creation initiatives. You will collaborate with a team of managers who currently share key product-related tasks primarily with Ticketing, Supplier, Marketing, Quality departments and Guide Management who will provide product description creation, product media acquisition, supplier collaboration and negotiation.
  • Support and Implementation: You will have the support of a highly experienced part-time Product Maintenance Manager who will focus on sustaining product quality and coordinating changes to the existing portfolio.

What We Require:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management in the tour and activity sector.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in working in cross-functional teams and projects.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making. 
    • Advanced Spreadsheet Skills. 
    • Excellent communication skills in English and adeptness in technological communication tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, ClickUp).
    • Ability to manage complex situations creatively and maintain composure under stress.
  • Characteristics:
    • High energy, creative, motivated with a proactive attitude.
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead with autonomy.
    • A team-oriented mindset with a good sense of humour.
    • Willingness and ability to travel, including holding a valid passport.
    • Legal ability to live and work either in Rome or Dublin.

Operations Agent

Are you an experienced tourism operations expert with outstanding customer service skills and a knack for technology? Are you a quick learner with fluent English and a genuine love for travel?

LivTours, a fast growing business that delivers exceptional tour experiences across 23 European destinations, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our operations team. Your role will involve orchestrating bookings and services to ensure our customers’ dream vacations are flawlessly executed.

Role Overview:

You’ll need to be a quick learner with the ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes high pressure environment, collaborating closely with both the Dublin and Italy based teams via Slack, Zoom, Google Drive and Zendesk.
The position will require flexibility to travel to our headquarters in Rome for training, annual team retreats, and occasional product and destination familiarisation trips.

Operations Agent

THE ROLE

  • Full time role, with variable 8 hour shifts that include a rotation of evenings and weekends. 
  • Fully remote position with company computer provided.
  • Competitive base salary depending on experience, with incentives, fam trips, and bonus opportunities. 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Collaborate in a team of 14 operations and ticketing staff across multiple EU locations. 
  • Oversee the entire post-booking customer journey.
  • Process orders across our 23 destinations using our internal booking system, BlueMoon, guaranteeing accurate reservations.
  • Verify upcoming bookings to ensure all logistical aspects are meticulously arranged.
  • Communicate daily with suppliers to ensure quality service. 
  • Prepare informative “tour reminders” for suppliers and guides, arming them with necessary information and tickets for upcoming services.
  • Engage with clients via email and phone, applying active listening to promptly addressing inquiries, managing booking modifications or cancellations, and providing last minute assistance in the case of delays or challenges.   
  • Stay current with evolving products, procedures, and conditions.
  • Work cross-functionally with the guides, ticketing, sales, and guide management teams in Dublin and Rome, effectively handling last-minute bookings, tour inquiries, and on-tour emergencies to ensure client satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in travel operations, with a proven track record of surpassing goals.
  • High energy, motivation, and a positive attitude and great personality.
  • Adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • The ability to handle high-stress situations, solve problems creatively, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrate a bias for action, ownership and decision making skills. 
  • Effectively collaborate with a distributed team, fully leveraging technological tools.
  • A learner’s mindset to stay current and flexible on new LivTours products, procedures, industry changes, and the willingness to adapt and implement constructive feedback in a productive manner.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of LivTours’ knowledge bases.
  • Be an enthusiastic ambassador of the LivTours brand, showcasing our unique elements and culture to clients.
  • Possess impeccable English communication skills, both written and verbal and exceptional customer communication skills. 
  • Showcase extensive travel experience in Europe and a strong grasp of its geography.
  • Display flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Possess excellent time-management, organisational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Have a sense of humour with a strong team-player mentality.
  • Hold a valid passport and the willingness to travel.
  • Have the legal right to work in Ireland.

BONUS POINTS: 

  • Proficiency with languages, particularly Italian, French or German. 
  • Hold a degree or higher in tourism or hospitality.

Property Manager – Luxury Vacation Rentals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial focus on acquiring permits, initiating listings, and executing business plans for upcoming properties.
  • Establish and manage property accounts across lodging OTAs, optimizing property listings.
  • Cultivate and nurture a thriving LivTours community, engaging clients, affiliates, and agents for upselling opportunities.
  • Oversee property availability, inventory, and supplementary services, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns pre, during, and post-stay through various communication channels.
  • Coordinate cleaning, be able to operate minimal maintenance and repairs, overseeing contractors when necessary.
  • Develop an automated check-in/check-out system while being available for personalized guest support.
  • Manage property accounting, tracking expenses, and maintaining profit-loss sheets.
  • Spearhead the permit acquisition process for properties, upload listings, and execute business plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Fluent in Italian and English (additional languages advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements for vacation rentals in Rome and Italy.
  • Proven experience in property management, ideally in luxury vacation rentals.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in managing OTAs, e-commerce platforms, and social media channels.
  • Ability to multitask, handle emergencies, and deliver exceptional guest service.
