Barcelona is a city that has it all! Blue skies and sunshine, 4 kilometers of golden beaches, delicious food and stunning architecture by Antonio Gaudi. On this semi-private tour – with no more than 6 people in your group – you will explore the two major highlights of the city, both designed by Gaudi, and both now UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites: La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell.
You will first meet your expert English speaking guide outside the iconic Sagrada Familia and take advantage of LivTours priority skip-the-line access for a 2-hour guided tour.
La Sagrada Familia was begun in 1882 and remains unfinished to this day. It is a gloriously eccentric mix of architectural styles from neo-Gothic to Gaudi’s own unique brand of design magic. It is dedicated to the Holy Family and is famous for its three facades depicting aspects of Jesus’ life, the Nativity, the Passion and the Glory. Inside, you’ll be able to admire the breathtaking beauty of its stained glass windows, and its 18 magnificent towers symbolic of: Christ, the Gospels, the Virgin Mary and the 12 Apostles. Gaudi himself is buried within his own masterpiece.
Next you will take a short drive with your guide just 20 minutes up Carmel Hill overlooking the city, to visit the uniquely magical Park Guell – also designed by Gaudi for a guided visit. Enjoy skip the line priority access to this vast park with over 17 hectares of gardens and monuments. Explore this colorful wonderland of sparkling mosaics, and eccentric sculptures inspired by animals and nature. Gaudi began work here in 1900 and loved it so much he also built himself a house here. See the famous dragon staircase in the center of the park, wend your way upwards and end at the top of the hill with spectacular panoramic views overlooking the city below.
