The square still features clues to its past, along with the oldest church in Venice, built-in 421 A.C. Learn the story behind its builder and its incredible survival through the centuries. Stroll through the daily market alongside the Grand Canal where locals still grab their seasonal vegetables and fresh seafood.
Continue around the corner to the spectacular Ponte Rialto bridge. Built-in 1250, originally out of wood, its unique architectural design allowed tall ships to pass underneath as they carried food into the city for the markets.
