Meet your guide outside the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, more commonly known as Florence’s famous Duomo. In a small group enjoy priority entry to the cathedral and avoid a long wait in line. These balconies, which are around 100 feet off the ground and 230 feet long, stretch along the north and south sides of the cathedral’s roof. They were created for the workmen during the construction of Brunelleschi’s famous dome in the 15th century. Today, you will have unique access to them – just your small group and expert guide, no one else, for the duration of your visit.

From the terraces, you’ll enjoy unparalleled views of the dome up close, as well as Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistry, and an aerial view of the famous monuments and romantic, terracotta-colored rooftops of Florence.You’ll see the intricate carvings on the balconies, the stained-glass rose windows, and the famous white, green, and pink marble paneling of the cathedral’s exterior.
